The Y Not Festival is an annual music festival held in Pikehall, Derbyshire. It began in 2005 as a house party organized by Ralph Broadbent. The following year, it was renamed Y Not Festival and in 2007 relocated to its current site at Pikehall.

The Y Not Festival is an annual music festival held in Pikehall Derbyshire . It began in 2005 as a house party organized by Ralph Broadbent. In its first year, it was named The Big Gin Festival and the stage used in the festival has retained its name as The Big Gin Stage. The following year, it was renamed Y Not Festival and was opened to the public. In 2007, the festival relocated to its current site at Pikehall.

All our volunteer roles on site are light customer facing tasks and you will be fully supported by your Supervisors and the Festaff team.

We’re currently on the lookout for friendly and reliable people to help us with simple customer-facing roles at YNF 2025.

What to expect:

You’ll worka min of 2 x 8-hour shifts (Plus training) during the festival. The rest of the time? It’s all yours to soak up the music, the atmosphere, and the unforgettable experience of Truck.

You will be required to camp. There is limited number of CVs allowed for our volunteer team at the event – we require you to email after you have secured your spot if you wish a place for your CV please email – reg, make model and H, W & L. Spots are Limited.

Shifts will be allocated on site after accreditation – shifts will be graded A/ B so that they are spread evenly, and all volunteers get a fair choice of shifts.

Please note once on site at the YNF you are required to be on volunteer shift where and when required by the Music Festival promoter and Festaff management. You will be advised as far as possible of volunteer shift patterns, etc. in advance of the music festival but we cannot be 100% accurate of all that is required until on site. Please bear this in mind.                                                                                                                                                      
You must plan and make your own way to and from the event.
