The Worlds Big Sleep Out City

Festaff is delighted to be involved in The World’s Big Sleep Out on Saturday 7th December and are looking for your support by volunteering in each city.

Edinburgh - Princes Street Gardens

London – Trafalgar Square.

You will be working under a supervisor’s direction to support the sponsored patrons who are bedding down for the good cause. Looking after their welfare and making sure all is good in your area.

So you can do your bit without paying a registration fee, running around getting sponsors and then have the job of collecting the money in. Just turn up and give us a few hours of your time for a very worthwhile cause on your doorstep and you will have done your bit.

You would be required on site from around 4pm until around midnight (TBC) on Saturday 7th December 2019.

“The ‘World’s Big Sleep Out’ will stage flagship fundraising sleep-out events in Times Square New York and Trafalgar Square London along with a target of at least 50 towns and cities throughout the world including Edinburgh, Dublin, Belfast, Chicago, Cardiff, Newcastle, Newport, Brighton, Manchester, Los Angeles, New Delhi, Vina Del Mar, Madrid, Rijeka, Kharkiv, Brisbane, Manila, Cebu, Amsterdam, Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Chennai, Coimbatore, Mumbai, Hong Kong, Philadelphia, San Jose (Costa Rica), Malibu and Singapore.

The global campaign aims to see 50,000 people sleep out on the 7th December 2019 to raise a target of $50,000,000 for homelessness and refugee causes worldwide. Partners for the campaign include the Malala Fund, UNICEF USA and the Institute of Global Homelessness, who will be able to support a target of 1,000,000 homeless and displaced people with the funds raised. Local charities will also benefit where the events take place.”

There will be warm up tents all over site and free hot drinks available for the duration of the event plus we will supply you with meal vouchers and look after your welfare first and foremost – if you are I need of welfare then you cannot help others who require it.

There are also musical performances from such acts as Travis, Tom Walker, and Gang of Youths as well as such celebs as Dame Helen Mirren, Gregor Fisher and Brian Cox dropping to read bedtime stories and lend their support…..and many more TBA
