Y Not Festival started as a back-garden party in 2005 and has since grown into a massive celebration of indie, rock, and alternative music – and we can’t wait to be part of the fun! Originally known as The Big Gin Festival, Y Not Festival was rebranded as the event grew and quickly opened its doors to a wider audience; however, while the event has evolved, The Big Gin Stage remains a tribute to its humble beginnings.

This year’s lineup features The Prodigy, Courteeners, Madness, The Wombats, Primal Scream, The Last Dinner Party, and Franz Ferdinand, with more to be announced. But Y Not isn’t just about music – expect wacky fancy dress themes, funfair rides, and a buzzing festival atmosphere.

Y Not is no stranger to accolades, and has racked up its fair share of awards, including Best Grassroots Event, Best Small Festival, and even Best Toilets (a welcome bonus for anyone who’s encountered their fair share of dodgy loos). Y Not Festival has cemented its reputation as a must-visit event and continues to be a favourite among festival-goers.
